A Fun and Eventful Night

Kevit as James Bond...the apprentice of course...

Date: 11th Oct 2008
Location: Windmill Restaurant, Subang Jaya
Event: RAC Bandar Sunway's 12th Installation

It's all started out as a normal installation dinner at the venue. The theme was "When I Grow Up" so, basically everyone need to dress as what they wanted to be when they were young. I came as a techer (^^) but believe me, it's not easy to get ready and tidy up yourself. Especially after you've hanged out with friends for badminton in the morning, watching movies in the afternoon and then had to borrow a shower to use to get ready for the event. Luckily the venue was nearby to one of my friend's place.

The venue is really nice. It's located opposite Subang Jaya Medical Center and it can't be missed as there're lights in the shape of a windmill's fan blades spinning outside the restaurant. The interior of the restaurant is quite nice and suitable for a closed door event. The installation was held on the upper floor of the restaurant. When I entered the room, I'm amazed at the variety of attires the guests and host club members dress up as although there's not much of a crowd turned up. There's a chef, pharmacist, successful businesswoman, war journalist...there's even a James Bond among those who attended. Though the number of people that turned up is not much, all of us sure had a lot of fun during the games. Since I'm not a picky eater nor am I a professional food critic, the food is certainly enjoyable for my standard (As long as I can eat them...they're fine for me...^^).

Now, after the formalities of speeches and Installation of the incoming board for the RY2008/09, it's time for games...For this, I'll need to explain the rules properly:

Game no.1

This is actually a simple game. There're mysterious consumable items. Each volunteer will have to choose a number. Once the content was revealed, the volunteer can opt to buy him/herself out by paying Rm10 and choose a new victim to take the place. But, the second person can also buy him/herself out but the pay will be Rm20 instead to choose another victim which the process will end there and no more buying out by the third person.
There were 5 items to choose from at the game. They were 2 donuts cut slightly in the middle which were spread with wasabi (You can even see a bit of green around the sides), a small pint of tobasco sauce, a small pint of vodka and a small amount of garlic juice.
It was fun to see the victims trying their best to consume the items. I for one took the vodka since I wanted to be sporty...and also I got named as the 2nd person to take over as the victim to take it (><). Well, my face just heated up after taking the vodka...luckily I didn't embarass myself there *phew*. Of all the victims, I really pity the one who took the garlic juice. He practically had to cover his mouth to talk (the smell was so strong that I can even smell it when my back was turned against him *sweat*). Alright...after the end of game no.1, let me explain about.... Game no.2 The rules are simple, you need a couple (guy-girl, guy-guy or even girl-girl...doesn't matter). Next, place 2 small balloons between the stomach area. Finally, just hug each other and burst the balloons only using your stomach. The first one to burst both balloons wins. Isn't it simple? Well, I had to say...I really landed myself in hot soup for this game. Me and the president of RAC ATC volunteered ourselves for the game together with 2 more couples. Of course nobody knows about the game until the emcee explained the rules. Which I really can't escape as I saw the balloons (yeah, I'm a guy who's scared of balloons...so sue me...). To make matters worse, both my partner and I were quite mismatched in height that the balloons wwere placed slightly lower than my stomach (But not too low down...mind you...). Well, since I'm already up front, might as well I play the game....with my fingers in my ears and hugging my partner tightly while anticipating the pain that might come whe the balloons burst...Although, my group didn't won it...both balloons didn't burst...lol... Since that game, all those present knew one of my phobias and used it to bully me...(><)...so bad that I got a nightmare of balloons bursting around me *sweat*...But I've got to amit...I certainly had fun during that night...and really looking forward to my club's installation next year to get my revenge (hopefully....hahaha) Well, that's all I've got to share...I'm signing off for now (^^)
Be a good student and you won't be punished...hahaha (^^)
