Feeling Irritated

Well, how many of you would feel irritated with kids constantly playing with fire crackers? I know I do. Let me just tell you how irritating can it be about a group of those kids staying near my house.

During the Hari Raya holidays, the children started playing with fire crackers since 8.00am. Can you believe it? Imagine you were still sleeping when suddenly you hear sudden gun-fire-like sounds outside your house. Of course you would be wide awake then, and found out that it was those kids playing with fire crackers. If the morning sessions weren't enough, they had another session in d the afternoon after lunch, and in the evening after dinner till they get tired. They had been doing that for about 3 to 4 days in a row. How and where did they get this kind of firecrackers? I have no idea at all. Now, during the Deepavali celebration, the same group of kids were playing with fire crackers again.

Now, if you think they would just stop after a few scoldings from the neighbours, how wrong you are. The boys are those typical bad boys in secondary schools who even talk back to you in a really awful manner (imagine the foul words used against you). Believe me, my mom had scolded and even complained to their parents but it doesn't change anything. Luckily the girls are not so bad at all.

As for the parents, they didn't have proper control on the children. They even let the younger ones walk around on the street with no need to worry about cars (the drivers have to sound their horn before they pass through to alert the children) and not to mention naked. It's hard to even see them at night.

What's more, the boys like to play soccer. They play in front of the empty house beside mine (the previous owner moved out after his mother passed away). The front gates were used as a goal post and net. They would play and kick with all their might, luckily the gates can still withstand the force or else it would've been wrecked already. There are 2 playgrounds and an open court in my neighbourhood and they never ever used them to play soccer. Makes me wonder sometimes if they are lazy to use them or they like to vandalise stuff. They study at school so I'm very sure they're not stupid.

Sigh. The future seems to have given up on them. I'm not sure if they would ever change their ways or the behaviours of their descendants. In my opinion, there's a chinese proverb that describes them best which is "No Medicine To Cure".
